Skin Tightening

With non-surgical skin tightening,  therapists can effectively tighten moderately lax or loose skin on the body, helping patients improve their appearance.

In general, non-surgical skin tightening procedures work by using targeted energy to heat deeper layers of skin, which stimulates collagen and elastin production and gradually improves skin tone and texture. Some treatments also affect fibrous tissue to help smooth cellulite. There are numerous FDA cleared skin tightening treatments and technologies on the market; each uses a unique mechanism to achieve the desired result.

Here are the treatments and packages we provide to address loose skin before, during, or after surgery:

Why consider non-surgical skin tightening?

As we age, production of collagen and elastin—two proteins that help our skin stay plump, firm and smooth—slows down, resulting in areas of lax, sagging skin on the face, neck and body. After having children, aging, losing a substantial amount of weight the elastin fibers in the skin dont allow for the same retraction on its own. If you are bothered by skin laxity, non-surgical skin tightening can help restore a firmer, smoother, more youthful appearance with little to no downtime.

  • Benefits of non-surgical skin tightening

    • Tightens mild to moderately loose skin on the face, neck or body without surgery or scars
    • Many treatments can provide a noticeable “lifting” effect
    • Little to no downtime is needed
    • Very low risk of adverse effects when performed by a qualified provider
    • Treatments can be performed in-office or in-home, typically in 1 hour or less
    • Results can last up to 1 year

    • Results appear gradually over several weeks or months following treatment
    • Multiple treatments may be needed to achieve desired results
    • Treatment will need to be repeated periodically to maintain results
    • Not effective on more advanced skin sagging, such as pronounced jowling or stretched skin following pregnancy or weight loss

Am I a good candidate for non-surgical skin tightening?

Non-surgical skin tightening is generally best suited for patients who are bothered by mild to moderate loose skin. While there are very few serious side effects associated with non-surgical skin tightening, it may not be appropriate for patients who are pregnant, taking certain medications, or have certain medical conditions. If you have any concerns you may want to review your options with your Primary Care Physician.

The gym is not the only place to go to ramp up your metabolism and burn fat. You can sculpt your body while relaxing in Taime Out. We offer yesotherapy to tone and contour your body and nourish your skin at the same time.

Yesotherapy History

Yesotherapy, also known as yesoterapia comes from the Spanish word (yeso) for cast. Body casting has been a popular slimming technique in Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain for years, but it was not practiced in the US until 2015.

The Yesotherapy Treatment Process

Yesotherapy involves casting a part of the body to sculpt it. Casts are made of natural fibers that contain skin-nourishing compounds like mineral salts, algae and other extracts. The fibers bind specific areas—most commonly abs, arms and thighs—to provide compression and generate heat. The heat helps skin to absorb both the nutrients infused in the cast fibers as well as a nutritive cream that is applied before the fibers to encourage increased fat metabolism.

What to expect During Yeso Treatment

When you schedule with Taime Out for yesotherapy, your therapist will apply the cast, which takes about an hour. For optimal absorption, the casting applied in a yesotherapy session should stay on for at least four to eight hours. That means you will be taking off the cast at home. We provide written instructions for removing the cast.

Most clients will see noticeable results after a single yeso treatment. However, for more dramatic results and to maintain a toned tummy and thighs, yeso therapy is typically done in 8-12 sessions (depending on client goals). The number of sessions required depends on several other factors, including overall health, genetics and diet. Once your initial treatment series is done, we recommend a single treatment each month for maintenance.

Benefits of Yeso Treatment

Yesotherapy can help you achieve dramatic results—up to 10-inch reduction in waistline (after completing full treatment series)! Yeso treatments also hydrate and rejuvenate skin for firmer, fuller texture.

Say Yes to Yeso

Yesotherapy is completely non-invasive and safe for nearly everyone. If you want to use your own body heat and metabolic processes to reveal slimmer, more toned abs, thighs and arms, schedule with Taime Out. We offer a free consultation to make sure that yesotherapy is the right treatment to achieve your goals.

Juliette Rose

What makes a person skin look younger or older involves a number of  variables, from skin texture, tone, how many children they’ve had, how much weight they’ve lost, how fast they lost the weight, and sagging. The last of those—sagging—happens because collagen, the structural support of your skin, diminishes over time.

Evolution of skin treatments

But what’s revolutionary now in lifting/tightening/firming is the ability to stimulate multiple layers of skin remodeling, not just the surface layer. The surface layer reveals many signs of aging, like fine lines, discoloration, blood vessels, sun spots, acne scars, etc. But it’s the remodeling of deep to surface collagen layers that lift and tighten.

While most dermatologists agree, they often disagree on which is the absolute best treatment—understandable, because there are now so many options. We all have different patients and different techniques that we’ve seen work. Providers also tend to like the devices that they have in their offices: Technology in tightening devices is always evolving, so ‘the best treatment’ is sort of a moving target.

Until recently, the ways to tighten skin were either mild—stimulating collagen in the very top layers of skin with treatments like peels, retinoids, and certain kinds of lasers—or severe—CO2 peels or pulling the skin tight with a surgical lifts and tucks, both of which involve downtime and a greater amount of risk.

What is the Juliette Rose Package?

Let us introduce the Juliette Rose treatment. This treatment includes:

  • ultrasound with thermogenics
  • selective wood therapy
  • skin tightening creams
  • infrared therapy

These treatments are selectively chosen to enhance the gall bladder and liver roles by lowering fat deposits, as well as increasing the metabolism for fat removal. Combined, they can reduce your appetite and increase your natural fat burning process.

The ultrasound treatments loosen fat cells for your body to process out via your urinary system later. The radio frequency associated with the ultrasound helps to stimulate retraction of skin cells in treatment areas. Wood therapy pummels and manipulates producing heat to the tissues and stimulate sub dermal collagen production. This process reduces the appearance of fine lines and assists in tightening loose skin. The application of select topical creams are clinically proven to help smooth the look of wrinkles, even complexion, tighten and tone skin, and restore skin’s appearance. The infrared lights help skin cells regenerate promoting circulation and vibrance.

The Juliette Rose package, along with a light diet shift and moderate exercise can help you get to your weight loss goals more quickly.

Eternity Orchid

Less invasive therapies are making huge strides, in any case. We feel confident that we are able to delay the need for surgical tightening procedures. Especially since not everyone is a candidate for surgery. While evasive procedures are still an ideal choice, here is another way of looking and feeling younger with much less downtime.
The Eternity Rose package is a way to replace lost collagen a little deeper in the skin.

The package includes:

  • RF ultrasound with thermogenics
  • wood therapy body sculpting
  • binding techniques
  • acupuncture skin rolling
  • 24ct gold argan oil stomach wrap
  • infrared therapy

How is this package different than the Juliette Rose?

This package is similar to the Juliette Rose package but has been extended for a more aggressive approach. Wood therapy and ultrasound are applied as they contour the body, reduce cellulite and facilitate with skin tightening. These instruments allow highly targeted pressure to be applied that intensifies the breakdown of fat and cellulite so that it can be eliminated naturally with other toxins while contracting skin cells.

However the Eternity Orchid package also includes binding techniques to lift the skin, providing internal lymphatic drainage. Stimulation of natural detoxification from the acupuncture roller, ending with a deep dermal penetration for ultimate skin retraction with 24ct gold and argon oil body wrap.

The biggest non-invasive technological breakthroughs are in infrared light therapy— which build collagen by sending energy to different layers of the skin, while helping cells regenerate faster in a targeted manner. The inclusion of the 24ct gold is a lavish treatment that Queen Cleopatra swore by. Gold slows down collagen depletion, increases skin’s elasticity, lightens the skin’s complexion, stimulates the cells making the skin firm, while improving circulation.

Collagen Talk

Think of the collagen fibers as a loose-knit sweater, and these treatments tighten that sweater. Both usually require skin-numbing but have no downtime because they work beneath the top layer of skin; significant results develop over a period of months as the body grows the new collagen.

Collagen and elastin are two things that are needed to keep skin resilient and tight — and these ingredients are generally found in protein-rich foods such as grass-fed beef, free-range organic chicken, wild fish, eggs, nuts, and bone broth. You can even take supplements with collagen protein powders that dissolve into everything from your morning coffee to your post-workout smoothie.

Maintaining results

Maintaining a regimen that includes weight training and muscle-building exercises in addition to cardio can be helpful to tightening loose skin, as muscle creates a firmer, tauter appearance. Along with your in-office treatments, we also provide you with out-office solutions to help you achieve your body goals faster.

The Taime Out Binding method uses special self adhesive glue-free sports tape to reduce your natural waist size, lift your heavy loose skin, and accentuate your curves.

History of Binding

While everyone is familiar with binding in Egyptian forms of mummification, waist training and skin lifting via binding have been around for centuries. It was the wife of King Henry II of France, Catherine De’Menici, who introduced binding during the 16th century. She banned thick and unsightly waists at court forcing women to find slimming solutions.

Women started wearing “stays” as a first attempt to control their waists. During the 19th century, these developed into full-blown wrapped binding.

How does it help?

Many women bind because they want an hourglass figure. This shape is thought to be the most proportioned and flattering a woman can have. Binding helps achieve an hourglass shape by cinching your waist and accentuating the curves of your hips and bustline.

Binding also assists with lifting heavy lower abdominal skin, providing supplemental help for a clients lymphatic system. This technique is great for internal or external lymph drainage. It’s also perfect to use if your faja has become too loose.

Benefits include:

  • controls appetite
  • Improves posture
  • Postpartum waist training
  • Bustline support
  • Shrinks waistline
  • Doesn’t constrict movement or circulation
  • Can be worn during workouts (they’re waterproof)
  • Burns fat by helping raising your core body temperature

How long to leave it on

We suggest for our clients to wear the self adhesive binding for anywhere from 8-24hrs. It is not reusable and will need to be cut off gently and safely. While it is similar to Yesotherapy, it isnt as constructive, allowing for a wider range of motion. It is also waterproof, durable, and easy to remove.

Jade and AcuRoller

What is a jade roller?

While jade rollers are having their moment in the spotlight right now, they have actually been a staple in Chinese skincare routines since the 7th century. Rooted in ancient Chinese medicine, a jade roller is a handheld massaging tool. The use of the gemstone jade plays a vital role here, thanks to its ability to maintain a cool temperature, despite being exposed to body heat. In fact, one of the ways to tell if it’s really jade in the first place is to place the stone in the palm of your hand. If it warms up, then it’s not jade.

What is an AcuRoller?

A Dermal AcuRoller (a collagen induction therapy) can help treat signs of aging (such as fine lines and wrinkles), tighten loose skin, reduce acne scars and stretch marks, smooth cellulite, and help reduce inflammation. And when used before and after applying topical agents and products, the effectiveness of these products is greatly increased. Without breaking the skin, AcuRolling promotes the natural production of collagen and elastin— which are responsible for skin structure and elasticity. Acupuncturists have utilized this knowledge in treatments for centuries.

The most well-known benefits of using these rollers include reducing inflammation and puffiness of the skin, reducing the appearance of under eye circles (especially if your roller is cold), stimulating the lymphatic system and blood circulation, brightening complexion, tightening pores, helping reduce the appearance of fine lines, and allowing skincare products to penetrate more deeply.

During the treatment

Rollers are intentionally kept cold; this helps with circulation, but it also helps your oils or serums to reach a deeper level of your skin, allowing products included in the treatment to really penetrate. The inclusion of this treatment helps with lymph drainage postOp, as well as after a rigorous body contouring treatment. The rollers are lightly applied to treatment areas before ending sessions.
